Advent Is a Time to Wait in Expectation

The Christmas season just gets busier every year. Decorating, shopping, cooking, wrapping, visiting, giving, and receiving often pressure us to create moments that are meant to be perfect. They also overshadow the fact that Jesus Christ is the true focus of Christmas. The busyness can place way more emphasis on the secular aspects of Christmas than on the sacred. However, the tradition of Advent can help you enjoy a calmer Christma, and prepare your heart to celebrate Christ's coming and to anticipate His return.

This year, Advent begins November 29. This season, we've designed a special Advent devotional series, Waiting In Expectation, to help you take time out for the true meaning of the Christmas season, the coming Christ.

Daily devotions from Today Daily Devotional, encouragement from Family Fire, in depth Bible study at Groundwork, and of course, fun at Kids Corner, all come together to help you draw near to God this Christmas.
