Rev. Steven Koster brought a passion for using media to enact God’s kingdom when he joined Back to God Ministries International in 2006. In his position as Director, he led the transformation from a weekly radio program, The Back to God Hour, to ReFrame Media as a family of programs. Steven constantly challenges himself and our team to develop new avenues for reaching English-speaking audiences around the world.
Steven has a B.A. from Calvin College and an M.A. from Michigan State University, both in Telecommunication. He also holds an M.Div. from Calvin Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a D.Min. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is a speaker and a writer, and he frequently preaches at churches around the nation. He and his wife, Deb, co-lead our ministry Family Fire and frequently facilitate marriage and parenting seminars. In his free time, Steven enjoys studying family history, biblical archeology, and the history of Missaukee County, Michigan. He’s been known to brew craft beer and enjoy bicycling on country roads. Steven and Deb have three adult children.
Robin Basselin joined ReFrame Media in 2008 as a Content Producer. In her current role, she leads ReFrame's content team and drives ministry-wide strategies. Robin enjoys exploring news ways to share God's truth and communicate the life-transforming message of the gospel.
Robin has a B.S. from Calvin College, and an M.A. in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. Prior to joining ReFrame she taught courses on Islam and worked in the area of Muslim-Christian Dialogue. Robin and her husband, Tim, have four children. As a family, they enjoy traveling, camping, and serving in their local congregation.
Chris Hunt started at ReFrame Media in 2013. Chris loves to see the gospel change lives. He manages marketing campaigns that introduce new users to ReFrame so that they can get the most out of their experience. Chris frequently blogs for all of our programs. Prior to ReFrame, he marketed children’s programs at Awana. Chris served 16 years in the U.S. Navy.
Chris holds a B.A. from Alma College and an M.A. from Northern Illinois University. Chris and his wife, Sarah, have five children. In his spare time, he enjoys playing board games.
Courtney Jacob joined ReFrame Media in 2006. Her passion for God’s matchless Word infuses every episode of Groundwork. She also oversees the ReFrame Media prayer ministry with nearly 2000 volunteers. Before stepping into her current role, Courtney served in a variety of writing and production capacities with us.
Courtney has a B.A. in Communications from Calvin College and an M.Div. from Northern Seminary. Courtney and her husband, Luke, have a son. In her free time, she enjoys being outside and playing the flute.
Deb joined the ReFrame Media team in 2010 as writer, speaker, and producer for Family Fire. Passionate about encouraging relationships as they live and grow in the context of faith, Deb manages and edits a team of therapists, pastors, and writers, and interacts with the Family Fire community through social media. Before joining ReFrame, Deb served as an RN in cardiology for more than 20 years.
Deb is currently pursuing her M.Div. at Calvin Theological Seminary. She and her husband, Steven, enjoy leading marriage retreats and family seminars. They have three awesome adult children.
Eleanor Lamsma retired from full-time work with our parent ministry, Back to God Ministries International in 2016. She stayed-on part-time at ReFrame Media to oversee strategy, content production, copywriting, editing, and proofreading processes for the Today devotional. Eleanor also frequently contributes to the Today blog page.
Eleanor is on the worship team at her church and loves to travel. She has three children and five grandchildren.
Josh Larsen joined ReFrame Media in 2011. As editor of Think Christian, Josh challenges writers and readers to bridge the gap between faith and culture. Prior to coming to ReFrame, Josh worked for 16 years in the newspaper business, mostly as a movie critic.
Josh holds a B.A. in English and Communication Arts from Trinity Christian College. He writes about movies at LarsenOnFilm and is co-host of the Filmspotting podcast. He also has a forthcoming book from InterVarsity Press on movies as prayers. Josh and his wife, Debbie, have two daughters.
Kaitlin Lubben joined ReFrame Media in 2016 as the Social Media Specialist. She creates posts for all our programs on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. She also contributes regularly to the Today devotional blog page. Kaitlin enjoys sitting in on strategy meetings for new websites, campaigns, and logos as a way to learn from her colleagues.
Kaitlin received a B.A. in Strategic Communications from Calvin College. She recently moved to Illinois from Michigan and is still trying to adjust to the traffic. She enjoys watching movies, attending live theater, and playing with her dog, Toto.
Marc Miller came to work at ReFrame Media in 2007. He manages the technical aspects of all the ReFrame Media websites.
Marc graduated from Calvin College with a B.A. in Communications. He put that degree to use working in the Chicago film industry for 5 years before switching to a career in web development. Marc and his wife, Sara, have two sons.
Justin Sterenberg came to ReFrame Media in 2013 with a passion to create elegantly simple user experiences that cultivate authenticity and community. He leads our digital media team, making resources that tell God’s story more available on social media, the web, and mobile devices.
Justin received a B.A. in Business Communication from Calvin College. Before coming to ReFrame, he worked in project and marketing management. Justin coaches boys basketball at his church. He and his wife, Thea, enjoy spending time with family, friends, and their cat, Butters.
Ron VandenBurg joined the ReFrame Media team in 2014. He plans and develops projects specifically for the spiritual formation of children. His main areas of focus are the Kids Corner podcast and devotional materials. Before coming to ReFrame, Ron taught middle-school for 27 years.
Ron is a graduate of Calvin College and recently completed a M. Ed. degree in Teaching, Learning and Development at Brock University. In his free time, he enjoys watching, writing, performing and directing local theatre productions. Ron and his wife, Rachel, have three children and reside in Ontario.
